Rex discovers that Santa has brought him a rocking horse, a rocking chair, and a set of CAT heavy equiptment, plus lots of suprises! The rocking horse wheenies, neighs, and shakes his head. Rex had a good day, as for us........ Buck was sick with the 24hr stomach bug that was going around & then I got it after Christmas dinner thru the next day....... Needless to say we didn't like our Christmas suprises....

To Walk or not to Walk, That is the Question......

Well, Rex is now 9 months. He goes next Friday for a checkup and I will update you all on his weight and height..... all I know is that he's big! He is now in 12 month clothes (some smaller if they're made big), and if it is a onsie it has to be 18 months to fit good. He is trying to walk. He has been really working on it for the last week. He'll take about 3-6 steps at a time before falling down.... will not be long before he's going nonstop..... He's already getting into everything! Lets see, over the weekend he unscrewed a screw on the toilet paper holder which unscrewed it from the wall, now it is broke, the other piece of the screw apparently is in our wall...... Later on in the day Buck heard him giggling ( he was playing in his room) so Buck went to see what he was into.. well, he had opened the door on his changing table (which is where all his toiletries and huge bottle of hand sanitizer is) had his bottle of hand sanitizer down, somehow had unscrewed the top and took the pump out, and was pouring it out in the floor..... Buck said all you could hear is glub...glub... glub... he had a pile of sanitizer on the floor & was sticking his barefeet in it squishing it between his toes and laughing....... We still have no idea how he's unscrewing all this stuff. He did get to have a little fun this weekend, he got to go four wheeling with his daddy. Here's some pictures. Enjoy!

Crazy Week
Well, this week started out with the typical Arkansas weather....... below freezing Monday, ice storm from Monday through Wednesday, and in the 60's on Saturday......... CRAZY!!!!!
Rex had a temp. of about 101 when I came home on Tues. ( only made it to work for a few hrs before having to leave before roads started freezing again.) He didn't play much that day, but has been fine since until this morning...... He woke up with a cough. It sounds like he's congested, but doesn't sound like it when he breaths. Anyway he is doing fine other than the cough. We are hoping it just goes away, but if not by Monday morning we are going to the Dr. first thing! The RSV is going around really bad, and I'm hoping that he doesn't have it!!!! Any way, I'll keep everyone posted on what happens.....

The Beginning of a New Year
Well, we are starting a new year & hopefully it will be a better one. The best thing about last year was the birth of our son, Rex, and the birth our our friends' babies. Rex is now 7 1/2 months, and learning new things everyday. He has been crawling for about a month now and has been pulling up on everything for about 2 weeks. We are tring to start on more table & chewable foods as well as giving juice in his sippy cups ( thank goodness he's a really good eater and tries new things fairly well.) We went to the Dr. for his 6mo checkup ( he was really about 6.5mo) he was at 20.4lbs and 28 3/4 inches long. We now have to shop in the big boy clothes (12 months and size 4 shoe) :o(
